Katie Patterson is an English Victorian novelist known for the psychological depth of her characters and her descriptions of English rural life. Actually, that last sentence is about George Eliot.

Katie Patterson is a New York based writer, musician, and healer. Her work spans many genres--from horror to science fiction to comedy. Her angst-ridden characters often find themselves dealing with the consequences of wanting the wrong things. 

​

The primary aim of her work is to help people put their arms around one another, and to recognize that we're all human and therefore naturally disappointing and valuable.

Experience

She teaches in the science department at the Fashion Institute of Technology, tutors with Bespoke Education, and leads sound healing workshops and private sound healing sessions throughout New York City.

Education and Training

She's taken writing workshops with Julian Sheppard, voice lessons with Patrick Wickham, Jon Price, and Isabella Lamadriz, and is mentored by light healer Janet Therese. She completed her meditation certification with Yogi Charu and her sound healing certification with Dana Slamp and Jessica Caplan.

She has also taken screenwriting at NYU, music production at Juilliard, and completed a post-baccalaureate premedical certificate at Columbia University. She also graduated summa cum laude with honors from Vanderbilt University, and can do a backwards somersault underwater, without having had any instruction in it.
